History of a passion handed down from generation to generation...
LATTEGRA, a family-owned company, began its production of transforming milk into GRANA PADANO in 1944, exclusively utilizing milk from its own dairy herd and that time, output was only four wheels of cheese daily. During succeeding years, the steady increase in demand resulted in the company preparing an investment plan that not only aimed at enlargement of the existing premises, but also at ongoing research for improvement in product quality.
With present output at around 130,000 wheels of Grana Padano annually, and maximum production capacity of 180,000 a year, Lattegra transforms 2,000 quintals of milk a day, collected from local dairy farms in the Piacenza and Lodi areas.
The strictly traditional cheese-making process is enhanced by the use of technologically advanced equipment and is thus able to provide top quality and a constantly high-level product that assures their aim of “Tradition and Technology at the Service of Quality”
